Default FCA MOD FAIL!

Attempted FCA mod. Leaked bad when reinstalled. Green oring flattened. Had a bag-o-orings I had in my box from MULTIPLE ISX egr cooler replacements. One was close to the green one. Noticed black one seemed wore. I had the right diameter oring but a lil thinner. Now truck idles between 8-9.5K rail press. 1). Could the oring cause the fuel to be bypassing causing high psi. It doesn't surge or lope but if you rev it up it drops in tween that range
2). Does anyone have/ know where I can get a modded fca or cheap non modded one.
3). Can I DD it for a couple days 12mi RT till I get parts or not recommended?

Update: filled fuel filyer with ATF and added a qrt to 1/2 tank. High idled for 45-60min. Idled back down to normal now its lower but stul 7.4-8.2k. Should i just run a 2stroke/atf mix for a bit and see if it was a sticky FCA? I did not have to force the plunger back into the sleeve but i did knick the sleeve pullin the cap off. But i smoothed it out and polished the sleeve? FML
