Default Found "rare" truck. Thoughts please?

Alright, so basically the truck that is written green has been up for sale lately, and a guy has a 1995 chevy 1500 ext cab z71 that came "factory" with a 6.5 turbo. He said it was a Detroit? I've never even heard of a 1500 diesel!? He wants to trade title for title.. What's this thing worth? And is he being honest? Any and all come comments appreciated

GM put 6.5 Detroit in 1500s and even Blasers and Suburbans untill 2000 when they came out with the Duramax. Why the first pickup they put a diesel in was a 1/2 ton with an olds diesel in it .

Yes they made they made the 1500/Z71 with a diesel as far as rarity not as many out there as compared to the 2500/3500 series bigest difference is the 1500 series came with a EGR system and the 2500/3500 did not as for what it's worth check it out on Kelly blue book in you're zip code

Would y'all recommend this truck? He says it gets around 23 mpg? An he says the injection pump was replaced somewhat recently, and he also said it was tuned to where the rpm's don't "drop too fast" and he says it lopes as it slows down. Idfk what he's talking about to he honest! Let me know if y'all think it'd be a good investment, or a good truck to have or whatknot, just let me know since y'all own some of them!

If the truck is running right it is all likely that it will get in the neighborhood of 23 MPG my K2500 averages 22.9 with the A/C running,I'm not sure what he is talking about with the RPM issue though??? all in all sounds like it may be a nice truck

Yeah, its seeming pretty great. Im either trading my truck (the gasser Ram 1500 on 40's) for that truck or a 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT Vr4. I want it because its AWD Twin Turbo!!! But if that guy falls through, Im just going to trade it for the Chevyy.

Haha true true. The reason I'm thinking the vr4 is looking at the fact I've got 3 trucks. A toy (gasser), a big working toy (the 12 valve) and a quad cab ram gasser for light towing a commuting with passengers. Why not have an AWD rare as he'll sportscar if you can get it? I've got a bunch of high and mighty ricer friends any, this should was their very nicely

Build a monster then, Find an 80's Import platform and slam the nastiest engine you can find in it.

I know a little something about that, I'm in the middle of finishing up a Supercharged Chrysler V8 conversion on my best friend's Mazda RX-7. He said he wanted a wicked car that could keep up with my '74 Duster (before I installed the 6-71 Blower on my car). It might not match it now, but it's still enough to be deadly.
