cuz I'm doin the swap on the cheap, and don't want to spend 700 bucks on a pump after I just spent 1,000 on the engine. besides, I have to have mech wastegate control too among other things, this build is quickly becoming more and more expensive.

does any one know if a pump from an international 6.9 or 7.3 would work, I have a line on one fro cheap, should be able to get new lines, and swap the rotor from the E-pump and make it work good.

I found some 6.5 pumps but they want too darn much for them, I am talkin 50 bucks or less, should be plenty of good ones out there that just need a re-seal

you will have to get a mechanical pump to start with due to the fact that there is no wat to hook a throttle cable to the electronic pump as the are drive by wire < the gas pedal sends a electronic signal to the injection pump>

I understand that, I have the cable part covered, but I need to know which is a suitable replacement? I can use an earlier non E-pump for the 6.5, but all I want to know is can I swap the internals to an earlier 6.2 pump? rotor assy. should be the same and fit right? everything else should def. be the same, the pump design hasn't changed is like forever.

I went here, and started reading, want to do this right the first time.

Default find out time

Cool, I'll figure it out today, I'll grab a pump, probably from a 6.9/7.3 ford the numbers don't match any chevy pump that I have seen. I also need to make an EGR block, what is the easiest way? is it more beneficial to block it at the egr valve assy? or at the head/manifold, cuz I can just weld the port shut. I was wondering, because wouldn't the heat be detrimental to the manifold, eventually causing the engine to overheat?

thanks,

Nintendo

I am going to pull more parts from the "donor" truck this afternoon. I know I'll need the entire wiring harness and fuse box, plus rad res. hoses, motor mount brackets, etc. will I need the springs too, it is going into a 1.2 ton truck, I am thinking I will, but will the springs fit my truck??? also if anyone needs anything off the truck tell me now, this guy is being super generous. I will probably have a lot of parts that I do not need when I'm done. electric IP wiring harness "incomplete" etc. hit me up.
