I figured this was the best place for it. The fan will pull heat from the cooler and the air from the front will push the heat back. i drove for an hour straight for the first day relocating it and it was like it was never even ran, the pmd was that cool. Your probably thinking, what about rain, rain did nothing to it, plug stayed dry inside. Just want some opinions.

Leave plenty of distance to the vehicle ahead of you, don’t want rock and debris chewing away the insulation on the wires or smashing the connection. Other than that, looks like a good solution.

i actually have an old pmd.. it was acting up in the engine bay, shutting off and such, when i relocated it in the front it stopped but i know its bad, im just waiting to get money for a new one. I also have no resistor in it, had an #9 but removed it cause it too was shutting off my truck i believe. i have a code 36 for like 3 weeks now, hoping with a new pmd it will get rid of it. I turned the pmd upside down so the wires and plug dont show anymore.

usually a pmd problem will be your truck will shut off and you be able to turn it back on. then go and it is bery sporatic.

yeah but it didn't just start back up. i had to us wd40 to get it running again. lift pump works good. ops is new. ip works good. no leaks in fuel lines. only thing besides pdm could be the sock in the tank. my truck has 316k miles and i dont think the sock has ever been changed.

That's where mine was located. Think something was wrong with my wiring harness though, boxes never lasted more than. 24 hours after I put it there. My box is on the intake now with the stock harness and just got my new box today that I've been waiting on for 2 months.

That's a good spot there. Nine is directly in the center of the front bumper inside the "nostril" area. As long as its out of the engine bay and in a spot that will get airflow while moving your good.
