Default 1996 6.5 chevy turbo diesel 200K any good?

I am looking at a 1996 chevy 3500 with a 201,000 on a 6.5 turbo diesal- Was 1996 a decent year for Turbo diesels. i know some diesals are better then others.
He wants 4500 and i would like it to pull my race car?

I have one. It would be good for pulling your trailer, but if you can get a ford, get one instead. Do the strait exhaust 4 Inch, I did on mine with a K&N Cone air-filter. I like the difference.

I have a 96 1tone dully that I pull my fifth wheel (weighs 9800lbs) with the only mods I made were a high flow cooling system from William's diesel and replaced the chop shop stacks with a 4 inch exhaust.

I have one, a 2500 1996 6.5 with a new engine about 9K on it. K&N cone style air filter, 10 foot strait 4IN diameter exhaust. Has new tank, sending unit, lift pump, brakes rebuilt, It got a new power-steering & Hydro boost. I like it, plan on getting the computer redone. I do like my truck! extended cab for dogs & Kids.

I have to add a correction I bought the cooling system upgrade from Kennnedy diesel. They had the best price, I wish I would have bought my exhaust from then as well I could have saved $300.00.

My exhaust only cost about $150 for a strait, no bend, 4in diameter 10 foot long pipe with a turn down .
