Hello to all... I am new to diesel bombers and wanted some input on my new purchase. I just bought a 1994 Chevy 2500 extended cab long bed 6.5 diesel 4x4 for 1500$. Only has 177,000 miles on it. Looking to see what the pitfalls of this vehicle are and if there are any cheap easy ways to make more power. Does anybody know what the baseline numbers for this truck are hp/tq. Thanks in advance for your input.

biggest problem with 6.5 is the PMD (pump mechanical Drive), and lift pumps usually go.

195-210HP/ 400-460ft-lbs torque

easy ways for more power:
turbo boost controller- heath diesel
max-e-tork p-series computer- heath diesel
not sure if your year has a mechanical inj. pump, but you can advance timing a 1/4 turn.
bigger exhaust (4" at least witha 3" downpipe)

hope this helps

X2 depends what you consider cheap, theres a turbo for it, turning up the fuel in a mechanical one, water meth.
