so i just sold my cummins unfortunately and have been browsing around and came upon 92 3500 diesel. i dont know much about these engines though so i have some questions

what kind of power am i gonna have out of it stock? is it going to tow my dump trailer?

how hard is it to increase power and put a turbo on? is there a kit?

what kind of fuel milage can i get?

how many miles are guys getting out of these engines? its got 300 000 KM on it

any help is great guys, the truck is a good deal

p.s. what tranny are in these? OD?

Sorry about your lose but i had a 6.2 before i bought my cummins and they came stock with 160hp. there is a banks sidewinder kit for that but i just put exhaust manifolds and an intake off a 6.5 they bolted right on. i would turn the injection pump up if you are going to do that thou. i got About 15mpg with it or so. i sold the truck last year with 230000 miles and i still see it running around to this day. And yes they have a 4 speed with over drive i believe.{4L80e} thats what my 92 2500 had. hope this helps you!
