Lately I have noticed that my truck smokes a lot under hard acceleration. The lively high pitch whistle that used to be instant upon taking off from an idle is very faint, and the downspool and rush of air under the hood when you lift off the pedal is non existent. It just doesn't seem to be the same truck it was two weeks ago. Any ideas??

 

I would get a boost bolt from PMDcables.com and see how much boost you getting. I have no turbo wistle with my truck so i got one and i am getting 8 pounds off boost. And i have 4 inch straight back.

 

Check air filter make sure its clean maybe exhaust leak will make looses boost

 

it has lots of whistle now, got that part fixed but still smokes. Air filter isn't dirty, no leaks in exhaust, still not sure what is making it smoke

 

what color is the smoke

 

you getting enough vaccum at the wastegate

 

its black, and it needs injectors, not sure why i keep putting it off
