Default Bought an engine, now have ???s

This is the ad from craigslist

i have an early 6.5 liter, 6.2 liter replacement, with a banks turbo system on it available. the motor runs, but makes a terrible racket. its still in the truck, so plan on pulling it. i'm converting to gas, so it all goes. fuel filters to tailpipe. low miles since install, and equipped with a pete jackson gear drive and mainline stud girdle. best offer.

We pulled the engine today and the flywheel is busted. It tore loose all around the crank bolt holes. I never heard the engine run (some parts were already taken off before I saw the engine. It has been 4+ years since it ran) What would cause the flywheel to break. It is a balanced flywheel. The owner said the engine had less than 5000 miles before the noise. Should I replace the flywheel and run her or is there something else I should do? The oil fill neck was off and a rag shoved into the hole for quite some time so I am taking off the water pump and making sure everything is clean for sure.

What type of electric fuel pump should I start looking at for this engine. The mech fuel pump was removed when the turbo was put on.

i would pull the heads and oil pan to see how it is. nothing worse that putting the engine in the truck then finding out it is broke. a walbro frc-8 is a good pump.
