Default Top Mount Inter-Cooler installed

Just Recently installed piping and Inter-cooler on my 94' Chevy K2500 4WD TD and noticed the difference right away. I have been pulling a 5th wheel travel trailer that weighs around 11,000 pounds and the truck seemed to have a hard time pulling it. Now I wonder how its going to act now. Thinking of putting a Cold Air Intake in Next.

Good deal, I am getting ready to install a Banks technicooler into my 6.0L and really excited about the potential results. I also pull a 5er about the same weight so should make things easier on the truck. I am also putting in a Hi perf oil cooler and an EGR delete kit so all that should really cool things off!

Default Photo of Hood scoop

I installed a common hood scoop that cost me $15. Piping $45 and got the Intercooler for $20 at a pick and pull in CA off a Mitsubishi Eclipse.

It is a pretty thick cooler and I can tell the diff, I am going to hook my trailer up tomorrow and see if it pulls better. I hope to add a cold air intake sometime next week.

Subaru's are great vehicles. i have a 96 legacy wagon. i love the horizontally opposed 2.2L no turbo though. the sti is where i got the idea to suggest to crazy back in october i think it was. subaru wouldnt put something up top that wouldn't work. Here's the thing that i think makes the Subaru cooler more effective. it covers a wider area and its thinner so air passes easier which would more effectively cool the air. i think a subaru style 6.5 cooler should be made as a kit. i think with some real testing it could do great
