Default 92 6.5 losing prime

we have a customer who brought his truck to us and said it wont start with out some either. the glow plugs are woking like there supposed to. if they truck sits for a couple hours, its real hard to start. pretty sure its losing its prime. i cracked an injector line, and it takes a minute of cranking to get fuel out the injector line. i put my hand on the frame mounted lift pump, and its running with the key on. i know that aint a great test, but was just seeing if it was turning on.

now on to what i dont know. if a truck is losing its prime, what would cause this? is the injector pump going out? or is there a return that is supposed to keep it from bleeding of thats causing this?

check back at tank these truck where knew from over age start sucking air at fuel unit

also just because hear LP don't mean it good

other thing see does do it with a full tank or start do it when fuel gets low

The return lines should run back to pump i would try taking fuel off the back of the LP and run rubber line to 5gal fuel can see if it loosing it prime
