i see there are 2 codes for 55
DTC - 55 ECM error
DTC - 55 Digital EGR Valve solenoid 3 error
I just put a new ECM in it tonight. It started right up but now my Service engine soon light is staying on. I dont know if the new ECM has to take some time to read everything or what i m hoping it goes off. I have it out side running now i will give it a little bit and go out and read the codes off the new ECM to see what i get.
What is a Digital EGR Valve solenoid 3 error anyways. the ECM error i kinda get but the other i dont kno wanything about. what should i do to start to figure this out.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

now i m getting a DTC - 17 Camshaft position sensor error
and a DTC - 43 Knock sensor error
and a code 18 witch there isnt a 18.
this truck is getting on my nerves. I can win with this thing

Try clearing the codes this way may be accomplished by simultaneously depressing the brake and accelerator pedals fully while the PCM is in diagnostic mode (terminals A and B connected). It will not appear that you have cleared the codes until the next time you power up in diagnostic mode

I hope it learns fast i m getting
DTC 17 - High Resolution Circuit Fault
DTC 18 - Pump Cam Reference Pulse Error
DTC 35 - Injection Pulse Width Error (Response Time Short)
DTC 43 - Fuel Temperature Circuit High (Low Temp Indicated)
I dont know what any of this means but like crazy said it might be learning witch i hope thats what it is. I will try to reset the codes also.
Now i have never heard of this brake pedal and gas pedal thing before. I use my jumper from a to b then turn the key on and press both pedals all the way down. Is this correct.

I dont know if i m doing this right but it didnt do anything. I use my jumper wire arcoss the a&b ports and then i turn the key on and hold both pedals to the floor. I tryed it twice and the codes are still in there. I have the batterys unhooked now to see if that will reset the codes. I dont know if that works for a diesel but thats what i use to do for my S-10.

Yep the same ones. The odd thing is when i use a jumper wire i should get like 12 flashes or something like that to enter the test mode but it just starts spitting out codes. I tried the brake and gass peddal thing that didnt work and i unhooked my batterys for a while that didnt reset them. I did notice the truck is useing alot more fule and the motor is louder. The noise reminds me of like a cold start or like valve lash with a gas motor. I dont understand why the new computer is acting so much differnt then the last one. I m just about ready to get rid of the truck. The check engine light stays on all the time. I will be home in 15 to 20 minutes where i can **** with it more. Any ideals let me know what to do next.
