Its me again. I thought all my problems where in the past but guess not. All the problems i have been having stopped when i put a new computer in the truck(1995 6.5TD) Truck ran great for a month now. Not a single issue. Well not until this morning. Just like any other morning i go out about 10 15 mins befor ei have to leave for work and start my truck. I turned the key the WAIT light came on like it should i turned the key it fired right up like it has been for a month. I went inside to finish getting ready for work and get my son ready for school. The truck ran for 10 15 minutes i made it half way down the side walk to my truck and it just shut off. I turned the key off waited a minute or two and turn the key back on and no wait light. i tried and tried to get it to fire got it to start once ran about 90 seconds and shut off again. I have the PMD in the front bumper and i have a spare so tried putting the spare on and still nothing. I dont know if this new computer took a **** on me or if i have a issue with the truck that would make it fry the computer or what. In the past i have redone all the grounds and batterys and so on and son on. All before i replaced the computer. And like i said after i replaced the computer no more problems until now. If anyone has any ideals let me know. I tried to run the codes in the computer and i m getting nothing. Not that i m not getting any code I m getting nothing at all like the computer isnt even there.

The truck not putting out any codes it sound like fuel problem do OPS and LP test or bad pmd also recheck all plugs back at computer and recheck them ground at back motor again they are for the computer and the ground strap from motor to frame and to fire wall ok see you have PMD in front bumper check that harness out maybe rub up on something and it shorting out

When i hook the diagnostic tool to the diagnostic port it doesnt even register the computer. When i get off work i m going to check all the grounds again. I checked the wire going to the front bumber to see if it rubbed through some where didnt see anything. And just to make sure i hooked the extra PMD i have up at the IP and still nothing. Im not getting the glow plug light or anything. I will have more tim etonight to look at it.

Fuses were the first think i checked. and i checked to make sure th LP was working. I opened the top of the fuel filter and cranked it over and got lots of fuel for there. I contacted auto zone and i returniong the computer tomorrow to get a new one to see if that fixes it again. I m think either it was a bad computer or i have a issue that keeps burning the computer up.

Ok i think i might have found something. I was redoing my grounds again and while i was doing the pain in the *** breaded steel ground that goes from the fire wall to the frame i found another groundon end id contected to the same bolt on the fire wall and the other end isnt conected to anything. i m assuming it should go to the block maybe. Is this correct and if so just put it on what ever bolt i can on the block or is there a speacal place i should put it.

strap should go from the block to fire wall and fire wall to the frame any clean bolt on the engine or bell housing will do

it was long enough to put on the same bolt on the head as the rest of the grounds. Still wont start tho. I have the batterys unhooked right now to charge the batterys. then i will hook them up and try again

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Ok i charged the batterys and hooked the cables back up and it fired right up. So far so good. I thought i had it fixed before tho. I hope it is this time. thanks for the help
