Why are my glow plugs short cycling
I don't understand it, The glow plugs have mysteriously fixed themselves, I'm not gonna complain though. The truck cycles as normal and has done it at least 10 times in a row with the truck cold. Maybe the truck just needed to recharge the batteries via the alternator for a couple trips down the road. I haven't had to change a thing which is nice for a change. Thanks for all the help guys...

Hey Mud how did you make out with the new parts, hope it is or did all work out for ya. I know how frustrating it can be.

Thats how my issues started. and after messing with it for months because it started again hear to find out it was my compuer somethimes it would work for a while then it would stop again. Do you het any codes. I was getting 4 or 5 but the one was 67 and i wasnt geting enough volt to PMD. I put a new ECM in it for 94$ from auto zone and never had a problem since
I HAVE A QUESTION ON BATTERIES,I HAVE A YELLOW TOP OPTIMA FOR ONE,IS THAT A GEL-CELL ? OR STANDARD OR AGM?
THE OTHER IS A FARM N FLEET 3 YEAR,,,WAS NEVER TOLD TO PULL THE POSITIVE WHEN CHARGING BATTERIES,MAKES GOOD SENSE THOUGH

Slight post derailment and theft but Optima batteries are Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM). Stay away from gel's. It's best to run same type of batteries if possible, i.e. 2 agm's or 2 flooded. Also AGM batteries can have different resting voltages and recomended charging voltages between the different brands so again best to get matching ones.
