Default engine sometimes doesn't start easily

my 93 6.5 td in warm weather doesn't start that easily sometimes but in cold weather it does almost everytime. when its warm out i'll glow plug the truck, then try and start it and it takes a few times to crank and if it doesn't start i have to spray ether. same with in winter. after its warmed up in warm weather and i shut it off and try and start it 5 minutes later it won't start and have to spray ether. i bought the truck with new injectors and fuel pump and other things not partaining to this but if its not the injectors or fuel pump, what could it be that the truck isn't starting easily sometimes?

it has 182k and its been doing it since i bought the truck 6 wks ago and with the previous owner that had it for a yr and a half but they bought new injectors for it. i'll have to call them and ask when they got the injectors and how long they've had to do it.

ya i won't send my truck in to have work done on it because i actually like working on vehicles alot more than i did a while ago. i feel a better sense of respect for my truck when i work on it and know what is going on if something isn't right after its fixed(if that happens). how much would the ip cost and do you know of a cheap place to get one as my pockets aren't that deep if you know what i mean.

i called huckstorf diesel here in wisconsin and they said it was the main internals of the ip, and that isn't cheap. they said just the internals were 480 something and for the pump it would be another 400 something so for a brand new pump with internals i'm looking at around 900. my pockets aren't that deep. it only does the non starting after a couple tries in warm weather so could i leave it for a while or is it going to just make it worse?

900 is for them to rebuild it. yours used is 450 for the pump and internals? 2k is way way way out of my price range so i'm glad i can get a used or rebuilt pump.
