Default Engine Noise

i bought a 94 GMC with a 6.5 turbo in it in October and only drive it every now and then, mainly for my hunting truck. My question is, a few days ago, it started making a noise and i'm trying to figure out what it is or if I should sell the truck before I dump more money in it. The noise to me sounds like its coming from the pulley under the a/c pulley. What is that? Is that the oil pump or something. Its making sorta like a knocking or loud ticking noise then every once and a while it will squeal. any advice will be apriciated. it has 186,000 on it. I think the owner before me didn't care too much about the truck and didnt take the best care of it but I got it for 1900 and everything but that has been working ok other than the starter and i fixed that.

turbo master

where your truck is 94 1500 you still going to need vacuum pump to run the EGR or you want gut your intake or fine F intake then you can do away with the vacuum pump

Wow, sounds like I would be getting way in over my head.

Is there anyway to check the vacuum pump before i replace it, could it be the belt making it squeal? I don't want to replace the pump and then it be just the belt.
