Exhuast
Any benifit to having stacks? I figure that since the overall length of the exhuast is shorter and 1/3 of it could be 5in. it would be pretty loud. Right now I have a 3in. strait back with a 4.5in. tip. I want my truck to be as loud as possible. Suggestions?
92' Chevy Cheyenne 2500 with the 6.5L Turbo, no mods.

Will a 93' exhaust from Diamond Eye fit my 92'? and would a Glasspak fit/work and make it louder?

If the trucks are the same bodystyle and engine then yes it will fit. Straight pipe is the loudest for diesels. A glasspack doesnt really do much except keep johnny law from trying to ticket you for no muffler. Also, if your truck is a turbo 92 it is a 6.2 turbo diesel. 6.5's came out in 93.
It will be louder, but it will sound like crap, its like yelling in the Lincoln Tunnel, its dumb. Plus these engines dont put out enough air for a 6" to be efficient. Basically because there is less air than there is space in the pipe the air wont know which way to go and will create back pressure. Diesels dont need back pressure, so by using too large of a diameter pipe you get a negative effect on the engine.
so a tru 4" straight piped exhaust would be the way to go? i have a 4" exhaust on the truck right now(stock). taking out the cat, would that b all i would need to tak out to make it a true 4" exhaust or is there something else the has a smaller diameter pipe inside?
