Default Sensor Question

I pulled a sensor from the passenger side of my block in the rear by the firewall. When I pulled the sensor antifreeze came out and there were 2 wires connected to it. The sensor was melted and one terminal was missing. I was having trouble with my cold idle start and believe this sensor might control it. My problem is I don't know what it is called nor can I find a listing for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Just replaced IP, injectors, return lines and glow plugs.

There is also another sensor on the drivers side on the block in the front that has a weather tight plug on it with 1 wire and when I removed it, it also leaks out antifreeze.

Can anyone enlighten me?

I know one of them has to be the coolant temp sensor but what is the other?

I looked at the site you listed, the coolant sensors they have listed look like the one that is on the drivers side front of the block.

This sensor is on the passenger side back of the block and has 2 spade terminals on the top of it. I am stumped here.

Tried #21377

this one is on the drivers side front corner of block.

The one I took out of the passenger side back corner of the block does not have the plastic cover, it's just 2 spade terminals sticking straight out of it.

I've been lookingt everywhere and can't seem to find one that looks like what I have in my hand. Driving me nuts!

Maybe you can explain to me why there would be 2 sensors, one one the drivers side and one on the passengers side of the block. When I pulled each sensor out antifreeze came out the holes. The sensor on the drivers side has one wire going to it and the sensor on the passenger side has two wire going to it.

I have managed to fix many of my problems through extensive research and reading posts/threads but this one has me stumped.

Thanks
