ok i put a used injector pump on my truck and got 4000 miles out of it and now it is dead again. so what i need to know is if the lift pump was week which it was only at 4psi when i changed the injector pump. i didnt change the pick up pump cause im on a fixed income so my question is would the lift pump have caused it to go out again? also i checked 1 of my glow plugs ant it had a build up on it would this cause any problems thanks in advance

 

Yes a dead LP could kill the IP

What is all happen maybe the IP not dead yet lot time it end up being PMD

same issue as before. just died and will not start back up. the pmd is 6 months old. but i did notice befor when the pump went out it cranked over faster than usual and it is doing the same thing.so i bought another used ip and a new lp and glow plugs

Yes, if the LP is not putting enough pressure, than your IP is working twice as hard. I guess next time if you can change the LP and the OPS sensor, and the filter. Sorry to hear about your troubles man. Good luck.

 

I wouldn't worry about the OPS in the OBD II truck OPS don't run LP. The LP is on a relay
