Hey all,
Just courious what gear my truck has.
What all do I need for the math?

I wanted to share a little experience I had with my truck that Crazy helped me out on.
First of all.... Thanks Crazy!!
Its a 94 6.5 turbo 3500 king cab long bed dually, with straight back 4" to a 6" tip behind the right side rears. It a low rider with bag helpers in the rear and drop spindles in front.
I could start the truck and it would be fine, but after about 20 minutes of driving, it would go into safe mode with the check engine light on. Sometimes it would just do it while driving, and other times it would just start up in safe mode. I couldn't get a pattern figured out but it seamed to just do it whenever.
When I got the truck (2 weeks ago) it had the PMD problem and would just shut down all the time. I got that fixed and have one mounted behind the front bumper now.
Then the other thing with it going into safe mode came about, so I figured I would start with the LP, but that wasn't it. I found the temp sensor was broke, so I replaced that. I had a code for the OPS, so I replaced that. I found some grounds in the wrong places, so I fixed that. But none of that worked. I did however find a broken vacuum line to the turbo, so I fixed that too.
I was guided (by Crazy ) to adding a relay from the OPS to the LP that prevents it from going into safe mode (involved cutting into the gray and orange wires to the OPS and mounting a relay on the firewall), but allows it it shut down in a crash still with the computer still running it. I also was told to remove the ground for the PMD from the heat plate the old PMD was mounted to and extend it to the front screw on top of the LP. Well one of those two things was what fixed it.
At least I have been 2 full days with it starting and running right.
I have to rely on Crazy to link those instructions here for me.
Thanks Crazy! You saved me allot of time and money because EVERYONE else was telling me the IP was bad..... and thats 1000 bucks or more and a FULL day of work!!

I never figured out why mine was doing it, but all I know is that when I put the PMD ground on the IP screw and added that relay, It stopped doing it.
Does yours start ok and then do into safe mode after its driven a while?
