Default straight pipe?

I have a 1996 1-ton dooley and I bought a 4 inch diamond eye exhaust for it from the the turbo back.

I don't really like the sound of it, anyone think I should just take the muffler out and sraight pipe it? anyone have theirs straight piped?

Thanks

Do it. 6.5 sounds awesome straight piped. I had 3" straight with 4" tip. An un crinkled x over makes a sound difference too.

Sounds like a bbc wound out and a diesel at idle.

I have a 94 Dually low rider 6.5 with straight back no muffler.

That thing sounds nice, your hear the turbo nicely and it has a deep and clappy sound.
I love driving through street with buildings close to the street echoing back at me.

But its not so loud that it bothers you in the cab. But mines a dually and kinda hides the pipe behind the big fender and tires back there, so it might be louder in the cab if yours isn't a dually.

I would get rid of the muffler and if not done already, get a down pipe thats not smashed all to hell like the stock one. Get a 3 to 4 inch round down pipe and it will improve power too.
