K getting code p0216 i know it has to with timing so what have done

change out the stepper motor and ran some cleaner thought a tank fuel

clean and check all grounds

check lift pump good

replace fuel filter

even swap out PMD with 3 diff ones

truck seem run great going down the road at any speed but in the driveway in park if take rpms 2000 it ok and if take it to 2200 - 2300 its get ruff and lot white smoke now have clear the code and go down road 25 to 100 miles no light comes on but next time start it it will come back on and clear agian go 10 miles down the road and come back on. but like i said it run great with os with out ses light

Can't say i know any more than you.... my truck has the same code. Only mine will start & idle fine. Soon as i touch the has at any amount it redlines.

 

no redline but just ruff at 2200 rpms and on up

 

K here update
wife went to town today on the way back, half way home, truck wouldn't go 40 mph she said it was missing running ruff no power she drove it 10 miles like that and to stop end of the road die wouldn't restart she let sit for 10mins and fire right up ran great all way home from there. but sitting it driveway she had in drive foot on the brake and truck try take off, lust like some put pedal to floor but just last few seconds

so took off that OS filter herness no change
code p0216 come on about 2350 pms now
k am so lost don't know what check or look for

Could be the injection pump or the electrical on it.

update got in truck go to the store tonight and no light and code don't what happen just hope it stay off, maybe it was the cleaner i ran thur the tank fuel

 

0216 code is one of the IP's so called death codes. Your IP's circuit board or internal is failing or weakened. Maybe the cleaners saved it a little but my bet is your IP has been damaged from low fuel pressure or sticking valves, a number of things.
Mine died with only 17K on it.

 

ok here what found out me being stupid i went back on some paper work on this from 8 yrs ago i had this code for 8 yrs I would think if it was death code in them 8 yrs it would have die buy now and we run the wheel off it every and pulling good size loads think the pump maybe out time to far to right so this week i going have time play with and what happen I have notice on cold night and mornings light goes out and when heat up or jump on it it come back on
