Default I'm a little puzzled?

I'm puzzled with something and wordering if some one could help? I've got a 98 GMC 3500 dually 6.5L TD with a 5 speed, K&N filter in factory box, 3inch straight pipes going out two 5 inch stacks! My question is I just put a boost gauge in that a buddy gave me it's new but when I drive my truck sometimes the boost spikes up to 13 or 14psi! That doesn't sound rite to me because I've been reading alot on here about putting the turbo masters on so you can reach these levels! Does anyone know whats going on with my problem?????

Almost sounds like a faulty boost gauge.

I'm new to the whole diesel performance stuff! So how would I go about looking for that?

the boost fooler will be by the intake manifold. basically its some soldered wires right by a potentimer. it wont look factory. it fools the sensor into thinking its getting less boost than it really is. if youwant to check for a aftermarket pcm you have to remove the glovebox and see if the pcm has any stickers on it because most companys will stick one on the computer if it gets reflashed.
