I bought a 95 sierra about a month ago that looked like the pmd problem. installed remote unit in bumper. runs better, but not good. camshaft sensor code won't clear. cannot find a camshaft sensor anywhere. does this engine even have one? going to do marine injectors, supply pump. and fuel return line (it is leaking). would like to take care of other possible problems while the intake manifold is off. can leaving old pmd with resistor in it affect performance in this way? any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

there is a crankshaft position sensor. old pmd is fine if unplugged sitting in engine valley. be sure to get genuine bosch injectors not any medallion or herzog ones. there chinese crap and tend to leak.

 

where is the camshaft sensor located?

oops, misread reply. crankshaft sensor tests good according to hanes manual. is this the sensor that throws camshaft codes?

 

cant find any camshaft sensor in alldata. is it possible you mistyped the code
