Any of you guys using an alternator that isnt a stock application? Mine is on its way to the scrap heap...was looking at some aftermarket alts.

I would sure be interested on how he rigged it up. I wouldnt think it possible to put a new alt on an older 6.5l. How many amps?

 

Has anybody rebuilt their own alternate? If so how difficult is it and do you have any tips? Mine is screaming at me at higher rmps and is only putting out about 12.5-13 volts. It looks like the stock original 105amp alternate. I saw some place where a guy had mentioned an alt rebuild is DIY job.
