jumping oil gauge ??

Default jumping oil gauge ??
on my 94 6.5 i changed the oil this evening it goes from 40 down to real low pressure is this a serious pb ? or may it be a gauge cluster pb ?? i give it gas and it goes back up any ideas ?

How low is real low? It could be a serious problem but I doubt it. Most likely if it drops real low I would say its the oil sending unit.

all morning it ran at 40 but this after noon after it got hot it ran in between the redline and 40 and when i stop it goes down to the first white line close to red what do u think ever seen or messed with this ?

I would get a mechanical gauge on it.

dealer said when oil pump goes out that the comp would shut the truck down so no harm would be done is this true ever heard this ????

If the truck loses oil pressure it will shut of the lift pump but most likely the engine will still run.

any ideas why volt gauge in dash jumps from 14 down to 9 stays there and then jumps back to 14 when driving around on a 94 chev 2500 6.5 turbo diesel
