what newer blocks are talking about? 1997-2000 gm blocks or the new military am general 6.5 blocks?

97 2000. I wish I could get my hands on a well priced new am general block

me too but its not worth the coin because i would change evreything about it to make more power. i just like the strength of the block. the 97- 2000 blocks added oil squirters that cooled the piston off more and added more lubrcity to the whole piston area. a good design if only could of pulled off the manufacturing aspect of it they would had some nice long lasting 6.5s with good reliablitly.

some 6.5s with oil squiters develop large cracks around the squirter area and the block eventually fails. now it was hit and miss and once you hit 150k miles you are usually good but you never know. im at 147K miles on a oil squirter block and im hoping it lasts.
