Default Fuel gauage died? what ru getting mpg?

my fuel gauage died today and i have a trip to l.a this weekend so what ru guys getting for mpg its a 1996 chevy 2500 td 4x4 auto

i would just calculate about 10. better to be too low and have extra fuel than to run out

14-15 mpg in the city. dont really drive on the highway enough to get any hard numbers on highway. the real question though is how many gallons you can hold.

all mine get different 94 1ton gets 14 95 3/4 gets 18. I would figure 10 also sucks to be out of fuel in a diesel.

since we have 4 speed autos high speed effect our mileage a lot more than the average car or truck. 60 mph to 80 mph is a big difference for mileage especially if you got 4.10s

I always calculated 10. usually got between 10 and 13

Around 18 here..with a 98 suburban, this is on the highway cruising at around 1800-2000 RPM'S.
