no you will not unless you unhook injection lines, change injectors, or unhook fuel lines. all which have nothing to do with turning up the ip.

got to let it cycle. let the glowplugs heat up the cylinder and when the fuel enters the cylinder it should ignite because of heat and compression. this is no gas engine where the spark replaces the need for heat and compression to ignite the fuel/air mixture.

just remember black smoke is wasted power, fuel, and fuel economy. not to mention it makes us diesel guys look like a bunch of jackasses. better get a egt gauge so your temps dont get too high

fwiw im not hating. i just dont like when a person gets his hands on a overfueled truck and makes too much smoke in front of the wrong person. i get mad because everytime someone does that we get our rights to modify our trucks taken away a little more. epa and the overall media hate diesels because of the reputation they got in the 70's and 80's. even though they are 100000000 times cleaner then they were 30years ago. so trying to get rid of that hate should be a top priority or the diesel engine will never be popular in america. i dont care if you do it in front of your buddys just not in front of traffic. **** offf the wrong person who is high enough and has authority bad things will happen
