thank you for the inptut on my question. i didnt know if i would or not but better to ask than to not know. also when i get ready to start it up will i need to cycle the key a few times or just start cranking for about 15 to 25 seconds with breaks in between?
got to let it cycle. let the glowplugs heat up the cylinder and when the fuel enters the cylinder it should ignite because of heat and compression. this is no gas engine where the spark replaces the need for heat and compression to ignite the fuel/air mixture.
well i got the pump turned up and it busted right off ! turning the pump up just 1/6 of a turn it really has boosted perfomance alot.and not to mention it has started rollin more coal than it ever has
j/w why do you say it makes us diesel guys look like jackasses? im from oklahoma if it dont roll coal it isn't considered a real truck
.... we dont have inspections like just about every other state

fwiw im not hating. i just dont like when a person gets his hands on a overfueled truck and makes too much smoke in front of the wrong person. i get mad because everytime someone does that we get our rights to modify our trucks taken away a little more. epa and the overall media hate diesels because of the reputation they got in the 70's and 80's. even though they are 100000000 times cleaner then they were 30years ago. so trying to get rid of that hate should be a top priority or the diesel engine will never be popular in america. i dont care if you do it in front of your buddys just not in front of traffic. **** offf the wrong person who is high enough and has authority bad things will happen
