Yes I have, today, kept hiccuping in 4th around 2500 rpm. just a total loss of power then right back, but keeps going until i shift or get off the throttle. Lost boost again on that drive, pulled over for about 10 minutes and then the turbo would spool up again. Unfortunately it was not smoking when I lost power so I'm not sure the turbo wasn't working entirely. It just wouldn't spool up all the way, maybe wastegate partially stuck open??? Or could the boost sensor be going bad and telling the selenoid to partially open the wastegate??? Open to other suggestions as well, I'm just guessing here.

Thanks again

so in 4th gear at 2500 rpm ddepending on what gears you have your doing what 65 70 mph. it sounds like your going into limp mode which poinys to pmd failure. next time your out see if cruise works if you got it

Thanks, I'll take it for a spin tomorrow and see if thats the case. Would you assume it is going to fail soon since this is happening, or could it keep doing this for a while. I only ask because I have to take a long hike this weekend and as I sit it is the only vehicle I have access to right now.

Well, unfortunately cruise control works like a champ. I assume it still points to PMD failure, just wanted to make sure. And a nice little clinch like that would have made ordering the part a little easier.

Thanks again

Just so I get a quick response on this one, is there a reason for the expansion chamber that goes toward the front of the truck on the air intake. I plan on ordering one when I order the PMD. I was just wondering if it was there for any real reason that an air intake would take away.

whoops edited the wrong one

that tube coming off the front of the intake is to silence the turbo. a lot of people remove and plug the hole for more turbo noise.

Thanks for that Fast. Ok, so i replaced the PMD on Friday, worked fine on my drive. Would have posted sooner but I did not have internet access where I was. About half way home on my drive today had the same problem. Did not go into limp mode on this drive but still hiccups around 2500 in 4th. Any more suggestions would be useful. It seemed that today it didn't do anything until it heated up. I have to pick a friend up at the airport tonight so I will post up if it happens right away or after heat up tonight

Thanks again.

?? Did you relocate the PMD? If not it would be a good idea to go ahead and do so, apparently heat kills these things.

apperently chevy and gmc dealer sell pmd like chocolate in a candy store... the source a read was pretty well credited... said they were 100% to fail. makes you wonder how they make vehicles these days... government consperacy maybe?
