Default progress on my truck

I finally got my heads reinstalled the other day. Got my head studs in and intake back on now i'm jus waitin til I get enough money to rebuild my injectors wit the bigger marine nozzles and I gotta get new manifolds old ones are shot. I also bought a hx 35 turbo and rebuilt it for my truck so i'll need a cummins downpipe. I had planned on using my stock turbo so I went out and bought a new 6.5 downpipe so if anyone wants it i'll sell it to them. Should be pretty sweet when I get it done then i'll get the GL4 chip for it i'll keep you guys posted.

well folks just wanted to drop a linejust drove 96 GMC crew cab dual on vacation
drove to fla and back over montegal mt in TN. 18 to 1 pistons are the way to go
she ran up the mt 63 mph 12 pounds torbo 950 exaust temp 190 engine temp. I LOVE IT guess I must be pretty close on the timing with the mechanical pump. Drove over 2,300 miles not glitch one. Hope everyone has this much luck with there truck.

Default conversion electronic pump to mechanical

I have a 96 dual wheel 3500 GMC crew cab bought in 99. about 6 mos
later had to replace the elec inj pump. about 2 mos later it started acting
up that is when I decided to go mech pump truck had about 115,000 mi
on it. built my linkige from pedal to pump. had to install after market cruise
control. everything was great. pretty much gas engine mech so this was a new expience for me. at 250,000 mi I figured comp had dropped on the old girl figured it would'nt hurt to turn turbo up. well live and learn ran like a bat out of you know where til I hit 340,000 mi had a light miss at idle.
bought a complete drop in unit from INTERNATIONAL DIESEL it lasted 4,000
mi never ran hot changed oil every 3,000 mi and threw a rod. I would not
reccomend INTERNATIONAL DIESEL to anyone. had a years warnt but it starts when you pay for the engine and if it takes two mos to get it thats
2 mos warnt you dont get credit for not to mention they still owe me my inj pump and turbo that I paid for which i'll never get back.
anyhow I kept my origninal engine I decided to build it myself.
did a lot of research installed 18 to 1 ceramic topped pistons, all new bearings, high volume oil pump, re worked the heads myself, built a spring loaded torbo reg and replaced all glow plugs. injectors wer still like new.
just ceme back off vacation over 2,300 mi ran over Mteagle mountain in west tenn at 63 mph 12lbs turbo 65 lbs oil press engine temp 185 exaust temp 950 deg. truck has never ran like this I love it. engine now has about 5,000 mi on it and it just runs better every day. Hope every one has this much enjoyment out of there truck.

yup international diesel is one of those companys that sell rebranded chinese junk blocks. and i guess they dont have good customer service also. its way better to find an old used block than the new chinese stuff and the blocks from GM that have squirters. or you can shell out the big blocks and get a optimizer block or P400 block
