between ss diesel supplys marine injectors and these eBay Motors: PERFORMANCE 6.5 DIESEL BOSCH NOZZLE MARINE INJECTORS (item 370178404554 end time Apr-23-09 09:44:15 PDT) ??? they are nearly $200usd cheaper and the ebay ones have bosch nozzles anyway. has anyone bought injectors off ebay and had problems??

Hi there,

I' am pretty new here, but do have the 93 6.5td. I really think that you get what you paid for. Sorry dont mean to be mean, but everyone would like to sell you something. Why do you want to upgrade the injectors? I know more power, but please be careful because 6.5 can handle so much. Unless you're a millioner, than you get lower compression pistons, so keep that baybe cool. I' am sorry dont want to kill your project
just a friendly advice. You know they got all different kinds of products up there, and it is very confusing. I wanted to upgrade to mechanical waste gate, but someone here gave me a good advice against it. You dont want to increase anything that will harm your engine in a long run. You know all of the bad reputation this engines got, I believe is do to unsafe power increase. Again just my humble opinion, and hope you find this helpful.

Hello everyone, and I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome. You know I have been struggling with the decions for the upgrade of my truck. I really thought abot the cons and pros, and all the high dollar amount thats involved. I just decided to do small repairs and save the money for the big ones. I really understand that there is so much I can do to the truck, and dont want to be stranded because of stupid choices. Please forgive my attitude, and I dont mean to be an ***. I really get upset when good people get screwed over, and they blow up the engine because of not enough help or info, or for that matter too many choices. I do appretiate everyone here, because you get some kind of relief that you're not the only one. Thanks by brothers and sisters, please enjoy life as sucky as it can be sometimes......

thanks for the advice guys and i know your not being mean just helpful. im only replacing the injectors as my injectors now are starting to play up and i thought i would rather upgrade them then just go back to stockers again, the only mods i am going to do to this truck is a hx35w turbo, injectors, headstuds, heavy duty gaskets and i already have a big front mount installed. will my motor be alright to run as a daily with those mods??

thats a lot of turbo to run with a stock bottom end. How many miles do you stockers have on them?

Yeah so your definitely due for replacing the injectors. Depends what you want to spend. Some people say the marine injectors are better, some say it makes no difference. I was in the same boat as you, almost 150k on my stockers and I went to the marine injectors. HUGE difference. I'm not attributing it to the marine vs stock injector necessarily but replacing them the difference was massive. Gained 4mpg and a lot of power.
