Hi I am new to diesels. I just bought a 6.5 turbo diesel a couple weeks ago and i was wondering if there is any thing on it that i could tweak to make more power without spending a bunch of money.

 

Can adjust the waste gate a tiny amount, and possibly turn up the injection pump??

Well as of rite now the waste gate is wired shut bc the accuator is bad i think. Idk if i can turn the pump up or not does anyone know? I jus want it to smoke a lil bit

I have been reading up on the web about these silencer rings in turbos but all i could find was dodge. I was wondering if the 6.5's have silencer rings you can remove too???

 

you might have a yellow baffel in between the fender and the air intake. this makes it hard for the air intake and turbo to get air so you will get a little more turbo whistle and a little power. but im not sure if its on your truck since it was on mostly older 6.5s. it wont give you any smoke it will clear it up. by the way the only way to make power is to reflash the ECM and exhast.
