1/2 ton 6.5
looking at this for a truck to haul stuff around the farm and maybe a daily driver. besides the PMD isolater problem should i worry about anything else

Woody, the only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is the turbo master upgrade. Its a common upgrade for when the vacuum lines dry rot and the wastegate malfunctions. Other than that, I think they are a fairly reliable setup.
6.5L was much better suited for a 1/2ton. They are cheap, reliable and are able to move a load when needed. Should be great for a DD/misc farm work..
I'll agree with Oilfield on that one, on my old 6.5 I just made an adjustable wastegate and took the vac. pump right off. $5 in parts to make the adjustable WG or like 2or 300 to replace the Vac pump and lines....I forget now, its been awhile since I had to work on that ole thing...
