ok got my truck paid off finally. But now i wanna spend more money, i'm stuck i don't know if i should take the time and lots of money and work to swap a cummins motor in the truck (my uncle did it says its not a hard swap) or look into getting the banks sidewinder kit? any advice?

Cummins swap would be a nice project. Lots more potential than a 6.2L.

yea i know i would like to find a p-pump 12valve, i love those old motors.

before the block cracks you should get a cummins in there.

wheres a good place to try to find a cummins motor and all the stuff i need to make it run? i want the p-pump 12valve motor. and what about a tranny for it? my uncle said it was a chore making the chevy speedo work with the dodge tranny....is there a kit to bolt a 4l80e to it?

thats another idea put a 4bt into it, i see them all the time bolted to 4l80e's i believe on ebay from bread trucks

Yep the good old Cummins 12v, add on twin turbos, a 4" exhust, and bigger injectors.

Hey, I love the old 6.2's. You can build it up, get some lower compression pistons, throw a turbo on it, and you'll be blowing off the doors of a 4bt. Sure its not as heavy duty, but its way way cooler. IMHO!
