Default No glow after changing ops

It all started with a fairly new lift pump not working, no power to it. At this time the glow light did come on. I jumped the oil pressure switch connector and heard the pump activate. I replaced the ops and put everything back together. The pump now engages while turning the engine over and there is plenty of fuel pressure. Now the glow light does not come on and it will not start at all. I rechecked the area around the fuel filter housing and all wiring harnesses that I had to work around while changing the ops. All looked good except I did notice two wires, one I believe orange and the other black, that were crimped together but looked as if the terminator had broke off. With the ignition in the on position I tested these as hot and the ground lead to the block, it showed 9v. It is a very short lead on the right side of the motor and I cannot find anywhere within its reach it would terminate to. All fuses check good. I'm afraid when I changed the ops I messed up the glow circuit but not seeing where this hot wire terminated at, I don't know where to go? Any help would be appreciated. I will upload a pic soon of the two wires that show 9v.
