I appreciate the advice. The others aren't a piece of crap I just have my preferences and Chevy is a Major Preference over Dodge. However you do have a point save up for the Duramax and forget the others.

Sure you can do that if you like. But It would only be temporary. At least until I got my Duramax. But the way it looks I'll have to wait till after Christmas to get enough cash for a truck payment.

Well it's not even true yet.I still don't have the funds for a diesel truck. But I hope by Christmas maybe then I might have enough saved up.

I don't know about the Dodge wrapping being total junk. It has its issues but so (in my opinion) does GMC.

That said, stay away from the 6.5 if you are trying to build power and that sort of thing. Some guys can do it and that a good thing but most often than not it results in money spent on replacing blocks, oil and water pumps...

I'm not saying don't do it but if you are that strapped for cash then don't waste your money.

i dont think Ben is getting a 6.5 liter for power he just wants one to get diesel truck. then he wants to get a Duramax. by the way Ben i know how you fell. im saving up for a Canada fishing trip and it is gonna end up costing me 2 grand. i have to save up for this while paying for fuel and other stuff on 8 dollars an hour.

Yeah it all sucks doesn't it.Yeah the 6.5L would be just a starter diesel not alot of towing or hauling would be done with it.But it's good enough for everyday driving.I hope I get a diesel truck soon.Oh well if not I can buy a cheap tractor and fix it up and sell it to try and get the money.

alright it took about 600 dollars to restore my tractor. when i got it was running fine but then stopped. a freeze plug poped so it wouldnt start. then i got it sandblasted and painted it by my self with a 50 dollar paint gun from sears. got the decals and that was it. if you want to make money it is gonna have to be more than one tractor. if you really truly want a diesel put crappy fuel in the regal and it will start to knock

Oh Hell NO I would never do that to my Regal. If I lose that I have no vehicle whatsever.1963 FORD 4000 40 HP to 99 HP For Sale At TractorHouse.com
Those are the tractors I am looking at restoring.Problem is they are in MN.But they are cheap enough.Plus I love wrenching on diesel tractors or even gas.
