Default Boost PSI inquiry

I have recently installed a boost gage. I am wondering the psi that i have been seeing is normal/ok. When i am traveling around 70mph i am showing a concestant level around 12psi. When i am accelerating anywhere from 12-14psi i would say is about avarage. I have seen it spike to 15 a few times and 16 once when climing a steep hill at 70mph.

12 - 14 psi sounds about right for accelerating or pulling heavy loads, But you don't wanna see more than 15-16 psi for too long, and keep EGT's below 1100 degrees. That's when **** happens.....like blown head gasket(s) resulting over heating and cracked head(s), a broken crankshaft etc... Concern yourself with EGT's more than boost pressures with that rig. Do you have a pyrometer gauge? If not, get one. Its cheap insurance.
