Default 1994 6.5 4L80 overdrive and reverse help needed asap

Having to help out my dad again, this week the truck started to get stuck in 3rd gear and the tranny slips in reverse, he now has to drive his truck 20 miles to work and im afraid he is going to burn it up. I have checked all grounds, fluid levels, fuses and there is 12v to the pink wire at the main trans plug. codes pulled up trans component slipping, TCC stuck, 2-3 upshift too short, and 2-3 upshift too long. truck is a 94 K2500 4X4 vin. F any advice is greatly appreciated thanks.

Update, spent the $1200 on a reman trans, had reverse back but I had to really baby it to get to shift otherwise it would stick in 2nd gear, after about 6 test drives the converter started whining pretty bad, so another $200 later it ran perfect until it got warm (175F eng temp) now the trans is fried again.

I did flush the lines really good. I didn't use the old converter I used the one that came with the rebuilt tranny, it started howling and the tranny was not shifting properly and felt as the converter was slipping, so I bought a new one from Oreileys and it worked great until the tranny warmed up.

Sounds like it was too late then before you put the new converter in, I hope you have some kind of warranty on that rebuild.

Is the speedometer working, or doing anything funny?

Update, truck is still drive able after about 250 miles, but reverse is really jerky after it warms up and it is shifting really slow between gears and getting stuck in 2nd multiple times a day. If i drive it with slow acceleration and waiting for it to shift before 2500 rpms it does ok just slow between gears, or if i put my foot to the floor it will catch all gears, anything in between it will get stuck in 2nd. already changed brake light switch, EPROM and checked power at trans plug. Fluid is still as red as it was new.
