Default AC compressor oil amount/type

I put a new compresson on last winter when it -30 or something like that. The clutch/bearing seized. Now I can't find the spec sheet for it telling what type oil goes in the 134 system, and how much goes in. All it says on the label is not to drain the assembly lube that is in it fron the factory. At -30 it was to dam cold to be playing with compressor oil and refrigerant, but it's hot out now and I want AC again.
I picked up a can,8 oz, of PAG 46, which is supposed to be compatable with R134 but I can't find how much it takes.
The truck is a 98 Chevy K1500/6.5.
Thanks
Pete
