Default should I buy or walk away? 97 k2500 6.5 237k

Looking at a 97 2500 4x4 with 237,*** on the clock, guys asking $2500.00
Went to the little car lot last night when nobody would be there to bother me. I haven't heard it run or driven it yet, but discovered some things last night. Valve covers leak, as well as front diff, power steering hp hose and box, T-case. Latch on the LR window is broken, and the leather has some tears in the usual spots (arm rest and seat edge
from getting in) is it worth it? Or should I just look away? If you can tell me how I'll post some pics

My advice buy a Cummins or 7.3 idi or power stroke or get a Chevy gasser 6.5 isn't very good and that's not an opinion that's a fact. Now I guarantee someone will come on here n say my 6.5 is awesome n reliable n blahablah 90% of these engines have cracked blocks and or heads running up and down the road and people don't even know that combined with oil cooler setup a timing chain and the non forged crank is enough to make me toss the motor in the scrap pile just too much money to build up decent. But they are cheap trucks make for great conversion candidates.

I have had a few 6.5s with both mechanical and electronic injection and both have suited my needs well,a 6.5 is not a hot rod diesel by any means but unless you are hauling big loads everyday the fuel mileage advantage is where the 6.5 shines but it depends on what gear ratio said truck has and have enjoyed every one I have had but if that truck there has been took care of and runs OK sounds like a good price and you can check this link hereFAQ's GM 6.5 FAQ & Information Sticky "Look In Here First" - Diesel Place : Chevrolet and GMC Diesel Truck Forums
