Stalling p0251 code
I hope some one can help me with this issue, I have a 6.5L turbo in a 1999 K3500 that I just purchased. It will only run for 10 minutes than dies and wont start unless I hold the gas pedal down on the floor, then dies as soon as i but in gear, then wont restart at all. After truck sits for a few hours it will go thru this cycle again. I have a water in fuel light on. just completly drained the tanks and placed in clean fuel, changed fuel filter. light still comes on. check engine light comes on and code is p0251. I checked the fuel pressure at the filter/water seperator yesterday and it was around 7psi. Today I checked it again and was getting no pressure but some flow. Before I sell this at a loss does any one have any ideas for me? Bad lift pump? I just dont understand why I let it sit for a while it will start right up and run fine for 10 minutes than I have to wait a couple of hours to start it again.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

Often the symptoms you describe can be attributed to a failing PMD/FSD,but can also be from a bad PMD extension harness,a ad ground on the IP/PMD harness(MUST be fastened to the IP and/or drivers side battery ground)
Even a failing injection pump can cause the trouble.
Air infiltration in the fuel can also cause similar symptoms-bbest to check the fuel lines pre lift pump and get to the bottom of the fuel pressure situation.

IIRC ECM-B fuse, check it... Just check all of 'em in the underhood fuse relay center
If its pop'd, check for faulty fuel heater... Unplug it, replace the fuse, try again.
If it fix's the problem, you have a faulty fuel heater.
Common problem onset of cold weather/winter conditions
Replaced the fuel strainer when you R&R'd the LP?
If not, Contaminated and/or Fuel Starvation, MOST LIKELY..
