Default Acts like its running out of fuel

My 1st 6.5 diesel truck
1996 Chevy 6.5L C3500 2 wheel drive bucket truck is trying to die while driving. When I wiggle it (the truck) back and forth it smooths out for a minute. When it dies, there's no fuel in filter at all. Fuel gauge also not operating properly now either. Has new filter and plenty of fuel in tanks.
Please help!

I'm in the Louisvle, ky area need mechanic asap.

Perhaps the fuel sock in the tank is clogged?
Make sure the truck has a proper(AC Delco) DIESEL fuel cap-anything else is not likely properly vented and can allow a strong enough vacuum in the tank to overcome the lift pump.
Be sure the LP is operating.

I took this out of my 94 C3500 a few weeks ago. Same symptoms as yours. Was a lot dirtier before I hauled it all over town looking for a new one.

Where did get that from it seems a lot people have trouble finding that exact one seems most of the parts houses want to sell you the kind for gas burners A part number would be sweet too.

Looked for three days and gave up and went to the dealer. He had to order it. Have the box in my hand. The only number on it is a sticker with #36666 64111

I got a NOS Delco diesel sock on Ebay for cheaper than Rock Auto. The seller had a few of them, you could see if he still has one.
