Default New Chevy

Hey guys I'm 19 and my dad just gave me his 97 6.5 Turbo Diesel with a brand new motor he put in a year ago as he recently bought an 08 Duramax. It has a 4" trail master lift with 35's and PMD relocater. I love the mileage from it too as I get on average 600-625 km per tank. I wanna know what else I can do to it performance wise, I want more power and better mileage (who doesn't). I read about people putting in chips and new exhaust systems and such. I wanna know what I should be looking at and cost wise.

Thanks, Blake

Boost gauge and EGT gauge .
Diamond eye 4" exhaust.
Good exhaust crossover pipe-the stock ones are often collapsed inside their doubble wall construction.
Clean air filter-keep the stock air filter housing, the round K-47 air filter option is the best cold air intake available.
Kennedy Diesel,Heath Diesel or KOJO ECM tune are the most popular and reputable.
Hoset HX40 turbo swap
Intercooler and or water injection.

You can find cost as easily as I by google or try site vendors here-support them when you can because they pay to be here to help you and advertise.
Don't expect too much from it-it is in no way like the other diesel available and under no circumstances can it tolerate rolling coal or black smoke.

There are no bigger injectors available besides marine injectors which give 0% more power to a truck.

The IP is the bottleneck in the 6.5 and stock standard duty injectors can flow more fuel than the IP can provide.

Marine injectors require the marine DB4 mechanical IP to take advantage of their increased flow.
