in my opinnion you got a good buy! i used to have a 95 6.5 diesel and it was a turd to be honest. no power but i think they have a cool sound straight piped. Definately do a pmd relocate. I had to drain the fuel in mine and there wasn't any flap or anything in the filler neck so i just syphind the fuel out with a hose.

A dead vac pump will keep the turbo from working-it's vac and electrically controlled.

ha how in the world.... i thought i could understand how a turbo works, but this one running off of electricity and vaccuum? ill have to study that a bit, but thanks this was my birthday weekend so obviously im not allowed to have any time to work on my truck, but you have described the knock and lack of turbo perfectly, thanks

well took off the belt, still knocking, if i were to use seafoam, how would i do it exactlly? straight in the oil filler? how much?

Need to read the directions-I have only heard of seafoam being used in the fuel?

well i dont know about diesel, but theres a lot of people that put it in the oil in gas engines then change the oil in 100miles, helps break down any gunk, but i googled it and people are advising to not use it in the oil of the 6.5, but i really just hope this is a stuck lifter and not something more serious, because if it is... its gone. i dont have that kind of money, time, or skill. thats why i bother yall instead
