I have a 1995 2dr 4x4 5.7 tahoe, my father in law has a 97 swbrc 2500 4x4 pickup with the 6.5 turbo. I want to but the 2500 suspension and axles in my tahoe, along with the Diesel engine.

Has anyone on here done this before? Are there any major issues to overcome?

I would love to see someone do this. Im judt not a fan of the 6.5td. But u have it, so use it.

 

Is there a better engine I could go with that would fit the Tahoe chassis and allow me to take advantage of the 2500 running gear? Maybe a later model duramax? I know a later model engine opens up more opportunities for power upgrades...
