Default Can an alternator really be modified to double its output???

So I need to refurb my alternator. I was looking for a kit and came accross this website that said it could improve the output from 105 amps to 220 amps.

Alternator & Starter Parts Wholesale - UPGRADE KIT-DR CS130D 220A

it sounds too good to be true.

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

That kit should do a good job of upping the output-not sure if it will do as advertised though?

There appears to be a lot more windings in the stator so the extra copper is what gives it more output.

You need to be real good at(if required) soldering and the heat transfer paste is going to be essential-this setup will create a more heat in the alt when pushed.

The hardware kit is advised also.
