Default just bought a 6.5 Turbo, anything to look for?

new to diesel bombers!

just bought this 1995 1500 6.5 turbo. got about 400,000 so she's a little high mileage. anything that i should check over or inspect? injectors were done 50,000. rot checks out everything is relatively clean. any help or experience is appreciated thanks!

Check and make sure you have the bracket on the starter.

Cary a spare PMD mounted beside the one you are running for a quick change over on the side of the road.

Check the engine oil cooler lines for leaks. If they are leaking swap them for a kit or make a kit yourself.

leroydiesel.com or lubricationsprcialist have kits

Do not waste time or money on OEM or OEM style lines. This is kind of a must do as many people have lost their engines with their engine oil cooler lines

get the radiator serviced or at least give it a good flush, not long had my rig n that gave me some dramas. ended up needing a new radiator.

Double check.

Several people have had their blocks ruined because of this. I know of one that the block was ruined with one hit of the key after a new starter was installed without the front starter brace
