1983 chevy 6.2

When driving I can hear a loud click coming from the glow plug relay part #ss333 glow plug light never has come on on the dash was wandering if the relay is bad is there any to test ?

From: Scugog Island ONT.

Could be the temp switch on the back of the passenger side cylinder head is bad causing the glows to cycle?
