I sure hope this pic gets us somewhere I loosed all the bolts while it was running and it hesitated for a sec and kept on running fine so I tightened them all back up and it drove for about 2 hrs so I don't know what to say ?

Your initial symptoms sure seem like a failing PMD.

The PMD/heatsink/resistor combo should be mounted behind/under the frt bumper or behind the grill on a rad support to keep it at or near ambient temps as much as possible.

When mounted under the hood, the temps skyrocket when you get off the highway and shut it down-that heat gets put into the PMD rather than heat being radiated away from it.

All owners with an electronic IP should carry a spare PMD/heatsink/resistor combo so buying a spare is a good thing to do even if it turns out to not be the real problem now-it will be 1 day.

Ok I will do that thank you very much for the help , but I have to say I have had problems with it not starting on cold starts also but most of my problems have been when it's hot I haven't taken it hunting yet bc the places I go are Farley remote so I have just been driving it in town do would it be that sencer if I can't start it in the morning ?

Not sure what sensor you are talking about now?

Coolant temp sensor in the water crossover manifold is a very important sensor for all temps and should only be replaced with and AC Delco part if need be.

Cold start issues are often glow plug or starter related but a failing PMD can cause no starts, stalling and even runaway conditions so it's tough to diagnose over a distance.

Ok I do have a glow plug code coming up so that may have something to do with it I didn't think it would be a big issue tho bc it still would start if all of your glow plugs are not working wound it not ? And if something was messed up with the glow plug controller would that cause it to shut off ? Bc the glow plug colinoid goes for 8 sec then kicks off then 3 seconds later kicks on for 2 seconds then. Shuts off then kicks on again for 1 second ?

I think that if less than 6 GPs are working, then the controller acts wonky.
I don't think the controller is supposed to kick back on after 3 secs off. But I'm not sure.
